On the 23rd of September 2013, the NSS unit of SIESGST had organized a blood donation drive in collaboration with Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital. All the NSS volunteers were present in the campus by 0800 after which the Engineering Drawing hall was completely converted into a blood donation camp. Seven beds were arranged in the room and four tables were kept to examine the patients' haemoglobin and blood pressure and also to question them. The drive began at 1000 with the Principal, Dr. Alka Mahajan being the first one to donate. Slowly, the crowd began to gather in the building for donating blood.

The volunteers put in their best efforts to organize the crowd and maintain sanctity in the building. As the day progressed, donors poured in, in large numbers. Teachers, students and even people from neighboring societies all came forward for the noble cause. The NSS coordinators  and the Sion Hospital staff were overwhelmed at the response from the young blood of India.

This precisely was the motto of our youth.
