Navi Mumbai: Lakshya, an integral part
of SIESGST’s annual inter-college festival Tatva-Moksh-Lakshya, is an
assortment of various teams and individual sports events and an
opportunity for one and all to ready their sports paraphernalia and showcase
their ability in the arena. Like every year, GSTians welcomed Lakshya with a
great show of vitality on January 18th, 2014.
The intra-college events like cricket,
football, volleyball, table tennis and badminton witnessed students
participating in huge numbers. Aditya Kudtarkar and Priyanka Chauhan bagged the
first place in Carrom while Neeraj Keskar emerged clear winner in Chess.
In Badminton, Bharat Shankar
(Boys-singles), Vishakha Nara (Girls-singles), Akshai Prabhu and Bharat
Shankar (Boys-doubles), Vishakha Nara and Nisha Nair (Girls-doubles) and Akshai
Prabhu and Nisha Nair (Mixed-doubles) bagged the first positions in their
respective categories. Maximum participation was recorded in cage cricket (64
teams) and badminton boys-singles (110 individual entries).
But this is not an
end to Lakshya’s success as the inter-college events are yet to begin with some
promising new events, like Radium Cricket, this year. So gear up for a
flamboyant celebration of sports at Lakshya ’14 !

Rink football (Girls)- SE: Nishmita Shetty, Sanjana Gunjal, Riya Iyer and Deeksha Shetty.
Table Tennis (Boys-singles)- Pushkar Vartak
Table Tennis (Boys-doubles)- Prasad Iyer and Amol Deshmukh
Table Tennis (Girls-singles)-
Carrom (Boys-doubles)- Tejas Mahabal and Swarup Sawant
Volleyball (Boys)- FE-G: Sriram Veturi, Swapnil Yalgude, Kalpesh Sontakke, Manu Nswamy, Vignesh Venkatachalam, Sudarshan Sridharan, Siddharth Ramchandran, Rajith Unnikrishnan and Yash Chopra.
