A Motivational Seminar

Navi Mumbai: A surprise turn of events took place on the 17th of August 2013. Students were informed at lunch-time that a motivational speaker would be addressing them at the SIES GST auditorium at 1530 hours. Most students dismissed it as one of those boring lectures and dropped the thought of attending it. Little did they know that they would be missing one of the most fun and inspirational lectures. As the clocked ticked past 1530 hours, the crowd started to gather soon, only to see a jam-packed audience.

A student came forward and began the programme by speaking a few lines about the speaker Mr. Suresh Srinivasan. On hearing his name being addressed, Mr. Srinivasan meekly said,"Hi guys". He began the seminar by asking each of us, the definition of success and proving to each one sitting there that success does not exist. A complete combination of humour and inspiration, Mr. Srinivasan enthralled the audience with his wittiness and knowledge for an hour and a half. He behaved with the students more like they were his friends than like a professor would do with his students. During his short meeting with the students, he explained various misconceptions in the life of students by giving very simple day to day examples. His ideology and method of explanation made him very loving in the eyes of the students.

As the seminar neared its end, he had convinced each person in the audience that he or she had the potential within them to do something for the country, that he or she isn't bad at the subject they fear the most. From basic manners to dressing sense, Mr. Srinivasan explained everything in clean, lucid words. At the end of the seminar, he showed them his mark sheets and his CV. It was indeed inspiring to see how a person who had failed in both his 10th as well as 12th examinations and began his career as a message delivering boy is now one of the top inspirational speakers in the world and is from the Dale Carnegie Institute. He proved to everyone that not only perseverance and hard-work but also the ability to communicate effectively to the world is necessary to be successful in life. He is a role model for the youth of India.
