Navi Mumbai: On 17th of August 2013, SIES GST’s music club organized a singing competition ‘The Voice of GST’. It’s the first time they organized an intra-college singing competition, so it was enticing to learn that it received a very positive response.

Over 15 participants participated in the competition, with a positive zeal and enthusiasm. The show was judged by music enthusiast Mrs. Ramya George and Mr. Pudhkar Sathe.
The competition consisted of 2 rounds, elimination followed by the finals. Amongst the amazing and talented people participated only 8 got to move ahead into the final round.
But the rest remained cheerful and supportive about it, and the audience too seem to comply and cheered the participants vivaciously.

All the finalists sang gracefully and enticingly so much so that the judges were in a dilemma in choosing the best amongst them, so they finally agreed upon choosing three winners.

The winners were Mr. Shatavarth Cheruvu, Ms. Pooja Ramnath and Ms. Jesta N.
The winners were awarded certificates and as a perk to all those musically inclined participants, direct membership into the music club was given.

The entire event couldn't have been possibly organised without the active support and help from SIES GST’s cultural secretary Venkatraman Balasubramanian, who was instrumental in tapping talents of the juniors and encouraging them to participate in it.

The entire program was a great success because of the active response of the participants and the efforts of the organizers which now keeps students on the lookout for more of such events to be conducted in near future.
