TML '14- inQUIZitive

Though quiz competitions are often viewed as the pursuit of trivial knowledge, they encourage students to achieve academic excellence and increase their awareness of the world around them. Out of Boltzmann, Einstein, Faraday, Darwin, Avogadro and Coulomb, one had to pick their favorite scientist and embark on a journey to know what they knew.

Tatva Moksh Lakshya 2014 had a wide range of exciting events spanning over three days of which inQUIZitive was one. Inquizitive is a general quiz on topics covering everything from cinema, science, business, IT, current events and so on. Every team consisted of three members and as the first level was about to begin, all participants were awaiting the barrage of questions with bated breath. The first level consisted of three interesting rounds- Achilles' Heel, Buzzinga! and Fast and Furious. The questions ranged
from cinema, science, business, IT, current affairs and so on. The top six teams at the end of first level qualified to the finals.

The final round being held on the 14th of February in the MBA auditorium had a flavor of the Valentine season. The hosts Siddharth Shetty and Kavya Menon set a pleasant atmosphere for the finals to take place by firing in some funny one-liners and trivia about Valentine's Day and quizzing in general.

The finals consisted of five rounds namely Buzzinga!, CGPA rules, Lights and Sounds, You Miss, I Hit and Quid Pro Quo. The best part of the quiz was that the contestants were not only getting tested on their knowledge on the various topics but were also getting to learn quite a few things. Apart from giving away answers to all the unanswered questions, the quiz masters Vivek Venkatram and Pramit Kumar shared their knowledge that they had on the subject. All in all, it was a
very refreshing change that was brought about over the conventional quizzing methods.

The audience seemed to enjoy the contest as much as the participants did. They cheered for every good question that was asked and every right answer that was given. In-quiz-itive empowered the audience with a new understanding of what had been, what is now and what could be...

The deserving winners of inQUIZitive were Gaurav Dutta and Karan Juriani of K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research, Vidyavihar, Mumbai.
It is so often said, "Battle is the most magnificent competition a human being can indulge, it brings out all that is best...". In-quiz-itive cemented the significance of the quote.
