Career Guidance by Collegepond

Navi Mumbai: As the routine day of college came to an end, a career guidance session by Collegepond was conducted in the SIES GST auditorium, which filled the students with knowledge and enthusiasm.

Collegepond helps students in not only cracking GRE+ TOEFL but also in placements. Second year and Third year students from every stream attended the session. The auditorium was jam-packed and extra seating arrangement had to be made. The speaker, Jimeet Sanghavi gave a brief idea about how and when to take up the GRE. He clarified various myths about the selection process of foreign students. He elaborated the differences between studying in various countries. Along with the top ten universities in the US and their fee structure, the placements offered and various other processes were also discussed. The outline and structure of how to crack GRE, TOEFL and ‘things to remember’ while applying for universities and VISA was made clear.

Pamphlets and links were given. A doubt solving section was also held. The speaker himself being an engineer, worked as a board member for selection of foreign students in USA and knew the key points necessary in resumes and recommendation letters. He also explained the students about the factors affecting the selections and placements. The enthusiasm among the audience stayed high until the end of seminar as well as the speaker summed up the session with a friendly discussion.
