Navi Mumbai: On 7th August 2014, Endeavor
conducted a seminar for a packed audience that wanted information about the
prestigious CAT and GRE examinations. But the seminar was much more than that.
The interactive session which was held in GST auditorium provoked us to think
and decide which direction we wanted to take our careers in.
The students were explained with real life
examples, what constitutes going for higher education abroad, doing MBA or
getting a job right after graduation. Students got information on the timeline
to follow while preparing for these exams and the best way to go about the
preparation given the vast syllabus for these exams. Many students cleared
their doubts regarding preparation for CAT exam and they came to know
approximately how much time and hard work is required to complete the syllabus
and become exam ready. Many students were not aware that the GRE can be given
all year round and the best time to take it is in March. The expenses of
applying to colleges through GRE and studying in America were told. Information
on the best B-schools and job prospects after graduating from there was given.
At the end of the seminar, there was a mock
GRE exam that the students had to give. It required students to answer 50
questions in 45 minutes. Moreover, students have received their test results
and are now deciding the best way to proceed for their further studies. As a
student, I am pleased that such informative seminars are conducted in our
college free of cost and that students are being given guidance from reputed
and experienced people to make an informed decision for their future.
