Navi Mumbai: It
was a lovely, rainy afternoon. CR 102 was the destination for all the would be
Literary Club Members. Pramit Kumar, prompted everyone
to get in fast as the latecomers hurried in. We began with Pramit getting in
the opinions from us about what we were expecting from the Literary Club. Vivek
followed up by giving us an overall idea of what was about to come. The prospects
coming in from the coordinators certainly increased the anticipation in the
crowd. We were shown a small clip from the movie “Love actually”. The clip was
to convey the message, that love is indeed present everywhere.
Later, our other coordinator, Haripriya, divided us into five houses. The intention was to make us interact with new people. Then, came the
task of naming our respective houses. And boy, did we get some quirky ones. Then Vinay Hegde followed up with a speech. He
stressed on the importance of self belief.
The first session was concluded as the first house took the
responsibility of organizing the very first event of this year. The students
then dispersed, with few summoned for their NSS duties while others took their
usual route home.
