Navi Mumbai: Teacher's Day was celebrated at SIESGST on the 16th of September 2013 with immense
gusto and grandeur. The occasion began with a few words of gratitude and
appreciation for teachers rendered by Akshay Suresh. What followed was an
impressive performance by the Music Club that included classic Bollywood songs
chosen by teachers themselves. The next event proved to be an extremely
entertaining one! A few of GST’s very own lecturers and professors attempted
some really difficult tongue-twisters like ‘Cycle rally, Lorry rally’ and also
successfully accomplished them. Dedications by students for teachers across all
branches were read aloud to the audiences.
A group dance performed by students
amplified the zestfulness in the auditorium. A game of Antakshari revealed the singing talent in many of the teachers, who
participated in the event with great exuberance. GST’s drama club Aarambh put
up an interesting piece dedicated to all teachers wherein they emphasized on
the care and guidance that a teacher bestows on his/her students which can
transform many a lives. In the next activity, teachers had to sing a song
featuring the given led actor-actress pair. Everyone seemed to have enjoyed
this activity which was evident from the applause from the audience.
